Greetings in the Name of the Lord,

If you are reading this, you have found the homepage of Somerset Baptist Church. You have found the link to a great history of over 200 years of ministry in the Village of Somerset. During the time of the great ship building on the river’s edge, the village flourished with three churches. The individual congregations of the Baptist, Congregationalist and Methodist came together in the early 1900s to consolidate to one Federated Church. In 1976, the congregation decided to be known as The Somerset Baptist church.

The congregation is like a large family caring for the needs of other members as well as focusing on the world’s needs through generous giving to missions. The prayer life of the congregation expands past the walls of the church to lift up prayers of petition for our brothers and sisters around the globe.

We have a proud history, but more important is the future ministries to bring about God’s Kingdom here on Earth. I invite you to be a part of that future.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
